About Us

I figured I better go ahead and put up a quick "About Us" page. I'm going to try and keep this short but no promises. :-) First off, my name is Randy Layman and I have been a webmaster for about 5 years. I started out playing poker in the early days of online poker where I played my first hand at Paradise Poker.

At that time Paradise was the largest online room and soon after I started they ran some of the first Multi-Table tournament. These were free tournaments with $5,000 added, I final tabled one and won some good money and I was hooked!

After that my wife and I played a ton of poker over the next couple years, I was an environmental consultant and worked from home so I had lots of free time to improve my game. I was one of the lucky few who started out winning and never really struggled with bankrolls, tilt issues, etc.

It was about 2005 when I started my first Poker Portal and set out on writing strategy articles, running a forum, and investing all my free time into building a great resource for players to learn how to win at poker!

My first website still exisits and although it has a different name now, it is still a very active website with a forum full of some of the best poker players I know. You can join the group over at Felt Poker and if you are looking to better your game, this is the place to be.

I know own over 30 websites which are gaming (poker/casino) and non gaming such as my wife's Twilight website. My wife and I have 6 kids so building websites is a great way for us to relax and unwind after long days tending to the kidos.
